SOCIAL UNREST, RATCAGE, ROUGHTRADE, GANG GREEN - and still more old ads.

Here's some more old ads from MRR. Enjoy the Ratcage ad for Heart Attack. Does anyone know if the person who ran Ratcage wrote graffiti? His letters are awesome. Also, scope the ads for Poison Distribution from Italy, and Brutal Chaos Records.

Old ads of Septic Death, Wipers, XClaim!, and more.

Continuing with the posting of old ads from MRR and Flpside...

I found the Fartz ad interesting, as they announce they are becoming 10 Minute Hate. The Septic Death ad with Pushead art, and the rest. Enjoy.

-16-

-16- have been around for some time. The first time I had seen them live was at Gilman sometime around 1993/94. They were sandwiched on a bill that had Ruins and a few other bands I have long forgotten. I've always thought they were a great band with their heavy riffs and crunching rhythms. They played at the Relax Bar recently. Most of the set was new material on their new album "Bridges To Burn" (coming in January on Relapse). All the new songs obliterate their old material. Not to say the old stuff was shabby. Far from it. This new stuff is just more sonic and all around heavy. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to picking up the new release. They have a record release show coming up in January at ARt & Mayhem.

some more old ads...

Some more blasts from the past... More to come.

more old ads

Here's more ads from old issues of Maximum Rocknroll and a very early issue of Flipside. Enjoy. Of course, don't even think of writing to any of these addresses.

Some old ads. Check those prices!!

Here's a few ads from a couple old issues of MRR. I find the Ratcage Records ad the most visually appealing. There's no graphic art, but the lettering is so well done and interesting that it more than makes up for the lack of any photo or line art. Really, the letters themselves are art.
